KellyKelly Clarkson (in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was born on 24 April 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is an American musician, singer and TV star. In 2002, she took home her first American Idol talent contest. Clarkson was born in Burleson, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth, where her singing talent was initially recognized by her school's choir teacher as a seventh-grade student. When she graduated from high school, Clarkson moved to Los Angeles to try to become a showbiz. After returning to Texas Clarkson was an contestant in the inaugural season of The Fox Broadcasting Corporation's American Idol, a singing contest that let viewers vote for their favourite performer. Clarkson received a lot of praise from viewers for her charismatic voice and sense of humor. The prize she received to win the competition was $1 million, as well as an recording deal with RCA.
