After being initially drawn by the shadows of trees she observed in the grass, she spent months delving into a technique thatconversely did not convey the selected subject as a 2-dimensional representation on canvas. Only certain elements of the picture, like the hair or eyes, show the three-dimensional dimension. Meade will sometimes integrate her painted model into the surrounding three-dimensional environment that allows them to interact within the world of their own. It eliminates any distinction between painting, photography and installation.
