Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer as well as a musician. She works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam language films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil debuts in acting. Andrea Jeremiah is born into the same Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of in Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father works as a solicitor in the Madras High Court. There is a younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began learning classical piano when she was eight. She was a big geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. She joined the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. The group was the beginning of her singing and music composition career. In her college she was also a theater artist and performed in stage plays organized by The Madras Players. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was a part of Shiva as part of a advertisement for coffee in the year 2006. Also, she acted as a part of a character in the Podhigai serial. Her performances have been all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's climax, (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon was able to have her sing in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and then asked to have her play the female character in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani as a wife and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was approached after Simran Shobana's death and Tabu. The film came out in the beginning of 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to fill a smaller support role. In 2013, she began her career in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's love movie, Annayum Rasoolum.
