Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 on the 28th of October, 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is part of the Robertses' fourth generation who reside in the Atlanta area, starting in the family of her grand-father John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father had the first interest to stage. While he was a student at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of numerous productions. After joining the airforce and appearing in an air force production in Biloxi together with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in 1957. In 1960 the family moved from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a Sunday morning show for children, Bum Bum and His Buddies. The following year, they started The Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also known as Julie) at the time.
