Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28, 1967. She belongs to the fourth generation of Robertses to reside in the Atlanta region, beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Early in his life, her dad became fascinated by the theater. While he was a pupil in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in several performances. When he joined in 1953 the Air Force in Biloxi, he was seen with Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. They got married in 2005, and welcomed their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where the couple left the Air Force of the United States. Walter became a member of Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio at the time they moved their family from Atlanta to Georgia's Decatur in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for children named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. This was a project that they funded themselves. In 1964 Betty Lou and Walter founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for 6 years. The couple had another two children: Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also called Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known by the same name Julie).
