Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on the 28th of October 1967 at Atlanta. Roberts is from the fourth generation of Roberts family that lived in Atlanta. It began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was an agriculturalist. Her father was a theatre enthusiast at an early stage. While he was a students at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in numerous shows. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and, while being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, he was a part of the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of the Air force. In 1955, the couple married and, in 1956, their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter was an undergraduate at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they left the airforce and Walter began his studies at Tulane University. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the couple relocated to Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of the local children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. In the following year, they established The Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. Lelisa Billingsley often referred to as Lisa was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
